Skate School Sessions
Skate School lessons will be offered on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Each session will consist of 4 classes. Students will receive a 30-minute group lesson and practice time.
There are no refunds for missed classes.
Sessions must be paid in advance. No one will be permitted on the ice if their fees are not paid.
Pricing Per Session : $60.00
Discounts are as follows:
Referring a new student, $5 (one time discount per new student referred)
Second child discount, $5 per session
Power Stroking Classes will be offered to eligible students.
Freestyle Ice
Freestyle Ice is private practice time for our skaters. To skate during these sessions your ISI membership must be current, and you must be either enrolled in the skate school or taking lessons from a skate school coach. These sessions are "split-level", which means that the upper level skaters (freestyle 2 and up) can skate from 4:30 to 5:30 and the lower level skaters (freestyle 3 and below) can skate from 5:00 - 6:00.
Levels FS2 and FS3 may skate on either session, but you will need to pay for both sessions if you skate both sessions.
The cost for freestyle ice is $10.00 for non-club members, and $7.00 for club members. There is a "freestyle contract" that all skaters must sign before they can skate on these sessions.Sun City Blades Club Membership
Sun City Blades Figure Skating Club membership permits you to skate at a discounted fee.
The Sun City Blades Figure Skating Club offers two types of memberships.
The Competitive Membership requires participation in club functions as per club bylaws, to include but not limited to fund raisers and club meetings. If a club member's obligations are not meet, membership is terminated. It is the responsibility of all club members to read and understand the club bylaws. In addition, members are added to the club's email list so that they can receive changes to the practice times and other important information via e-mail.
Competitive Membership fee is $10.00 per month or $120.00 per year per family of four.
Additional family members may join for $10.00 per year per person.Adult Recreational Membership requires no participation in club functions. Recreational members are not eligible to compete in skating competitions. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
Adult Recreational Membership fee is $35.00 per year.
All member dues are due on the 1st day of each month.
ISI Membership
ISI is the Ice Skating Institute and membership provides insurance coverage for the skaters, coaches, etc.Competitions
The Sun City Blades Figure Skating Club sponsors and attends skating competitions throughout the year. Check with your coach for additional information.Christmas Show
In the past, our skaters have performed for the Children's Miracle Network Christmas Community celebration. Fees and costume requirements may apply. More information will be available at a later date.
