figure skating competition sponsored by Capital of Texas ice rink and the world organization, Ice Skating Institute. Our Sun City Blades figure skating team placed 4th out of 11 teams overall and won the "Spirit Award" for the second year in a row, which is great for a district event, said Sun City Blades President, Monika Carranza. Consider the fact that the Sun City Blades are still lacking a synchro team and the teams with synchro teams, receive a minimum of 25 points for just entering each synchro event. Even with the applied handicap, our Sun City Blades were able to take the fourth place spot. This reinforces the fact that our skaters did a fantastic job. Congratulations to all skaters and coaches.
